It will be is last year and it will be good to take advantage of ATLAS III to find a futur « leader » from Euralo to join the Nomcom at the end of 2020. Regarding secretariat, Natalya as show an increasing involvement in Euralo and A-large activities since she participates to IGF Global in Paris. She will be able to grow in understanding our organisation if she can take this position. And Atlas III will also be a good opportunity. I must add that she is one of the few from Eastern Europe engage in our work and some gender balance is necessary. Regarding ALAC, Matthias also is more and more involved in Euralo and at-large activities. And Atlas III will also be a good opportunity. With Bastiaan (ALAC member since Feb 2017) and Joanna (NomCom appointe since end of 2018) ALAC member for one other year (at least) Matthias will be well supported. And I will also help him as long time participant in ALAC. Regarding Chair, I am ready to take this position to help the new leaders and future ones to be fully welcome in Euralo and At-large. Expression of Interest for the EUralo Chair Position (2019- 2021) I have participated, as Internet Society France, in the process of formation of EURALO. I am one of the signing members of the MOU between ICANN and Euralo. I do care about our organization and its future. I have decided not to apply to be return to ALAC and to apply for the Euralo Chair position, for, among other, the following reasons: ALAC needs to have new blood (and I am happy that Matthias Hudobnik has accepted the nomination), to bring new ideas and shack the structure, With the departure of Olivier, I was considering, as one of the old timers, to stay engaged, After discussion with other people there where not too many candidates for that position I hope that you will also support the other people I have suggested to join the EUralo leaders for the next term. It is important to help a real team work. It will be one of my goal. We need to follow the previous leaders and give possibility to new people to be more engaged in the EUralo work. ATLAS III will help in that direction. I hope we will be able to do a good job at EUralo level with all the ALSes including the one with individual Internet end-users. A good collaboration with other RALOs, with ALAC and with our European partners (RIPE NCC, Centr, European Governments (Commission, council….). One World, One Internet, One Euralo. Taking into account the mail below send by Olivier, I would like to make the following proposal (nominations ans self nomination) regarding the leadership positions open this year in EURALO.
ALAC: Matthias Hudobnik NomCom: Erich Schweighofer Secretariat: Natalya Filina Chair: Sebastien Bachollet
Regarding Nomcom position, Erich can be return and I think it Is a good practice to allow Nomcom members to do 2 years. It will be is last year and it will be good to take advantage of ATLAS III to find a futur « leader » from Euralo to join the Nomcom at the end of 2020.
Regarding secretariat, Natalya as show an increasing involvement in Euralo and A-large activities since she participates to IGF Global in Paris. She will be able to grow in understanding our organisation if she can take this position. And Atlas III will also be a good opportunity. I must add that she is one of the few from Eastern Europe engage in our work and some gender balance is necessary.
Regarding ALAC, Matthias also is more and more involved in Euralo and at-large activities. And Atlas III will also be a good opportunity. With Bastiaan (ALAC member since Feb 2017) and Joanna (NomCom appointe since end of 2018) ALAC member for one other year (at least) Matthias will be well supported. And I will also help him as long time participant in ALAC.
Regarding Chair, I am ready to take this position to help the new leaders and future ones to be fully welcome in Euralo and At-large.

the nomination period for leadership positions in EURALO ends at the end of this week.
Earlier this week, I have informed the EURALO Board that I am not planning to run for another term as EURALO Chair. I have now been chair for 4 years already. That is plenty of time and we need some change in EURALO leadership to continue moving forward, otherwise we'll be complacent and stagnate.
In the meantime, I am concerned that whilst some people have told me by email that they are nominating other people, I would kindly remind everyone that nominations have to be made on the EURALO mailing list and will be recorded on the EURALO election page as they come in. And so far, there have not been any public nominations, so I look forward to see them coming in! :-) Kindest regards,

Positions Open:

Terms: · ALAC: Terms for the ALAC will run from the end of the 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) to the end of the 2021 AGM. · RALO Leadership: Terms for the RALO Leadership will be as noted on the individual RALO election pages. All terms will start at the end of the 2019 AGM. · ALAC Delegates to the NomCom: Voting members of the NomCom are appointed for a one year term, starting at the close of the 2019 AGM and ending at the close of the 2020 AGM and may be re-appointed for a further term of one year subject to the requirement under the ICANN Bylaws <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.icann.org_resources...>. Selection Schedule for ALAC Members, RALO Leadership, and ALAC Delegates to the NomCom: 29 April 2019 - Announcement of call for nominations and Nominee's Statement. 29 April – 10 May 2019 - Nomination period. 17 May 2019 - Deadline for nomination acceptances. 20 May – 22 May 2019- Calls with the candidates if desired by the RALOs. 23 May – 30 May 2019 - Elections (If required, elections will begin no later than one week after the deadline for nomination acceptances and end no later than two weeks after that deadline). 2019 AGM [ICANN 66] - Newly elected ALAC Members and RALOs Leaders shall be seated at the end of the 2019 AGM following the close of the Board Meeting on 7 November 2019.
Process for Nominations: All nominees are expected to submit a brief statement explaining why they believe they are a suitable candidate to At-Large staff <mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org>. · Familiarity with the ICANN groups to which the NomCom appoints (Board, ALAC, GNSO, ccNSO). · Ability to judge people (such as when interviewing and hiring). · Comfortable and preferably fluent with English (listening, reading, speaking). · Good on-line skills such as on Google & Social media. · Time Commitment - Must be willing to devote substantial time under tight deadlines (March-June). Will involve travel to up to 4 meetings. · Ability work in a group environment, standing up for what you believe in a discussion with other "strong" people, but at the same time, must be a good listener and be willing to change your mind if someone else has a good argument. Diplomacy is important.
