Hello all, I was nominated by Sébastien Bachollet for the position of EURALO Chair for another year. I hereby accept the Nomination and thank Sébastien for his support. My goals for the year are to continue to try and increase active participation of ALSes and individuals in EURALO. I am concerned that, contrary to other RALOs, we do not have a lot of people volunteering for positions, including positions on the ALAC and in the RALO leadership. It sounds like members in our region are probably more busy than members in other regions. I fully understand this, but I do find it a bit sad that, with all of the talent we have in our ALSes, some members do not appear to see the worth and added value of our mission. To this extent, I fully support the work of our EURALO TaskForce on ALS engagement. But I would be interested to hear from you, on this mailing list, how we could, together, improve participation. - how do we make the monthly conference calls more interesting? - how do we get volunteers to join the various working groups, including cross community working groups and ICANN review groups? These are pretty high level, often include travel and meetings with high level executives in ICANN, yet we still have trouble filling these positions. - how do we improve our communication? - EURALO has a Facebook page - should we use this more often to communicate?
