This free event, jointly organized by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the office of Member of European Parliament Miapetra-Kumpula Natri, will explore how geopolitical tensions are putting this principle to the test. The event will feature ICANN CEO and President Göran Marby and MEP Miapetra-Kumpula Natri, who will delve into topics of Internet governance, the multistakeholder model, and threats to the future of this model. Together with Werner Stengg, Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager’s Cabinet expert for the Platform Economy, and MEP Christel Schaldemose, rapporteur for the Digital Services Act (DSA), the event also will focus on the services and content that are accessed via the Internet, in the context of the recently agreed-upon DSA.
