The problem about the poll is that as of now it is still unclear how the vote will be run. Each ALS representative will have up to 5 votes, that must be given to 5 different candidates. What is unclear is whether votes have to be given to people of different nationality/residence or not. I hope that we will have a final decision at tonight’s EURALO teleconference. After the withdrawal of Stéphane we have still 2 candidates registered as French and 2 candidates registered as Austria. The other 3 candidates are from different countries and will therefore be elected anyway (if they get at least one vote). I plan to cast a vote for the remaining candidates that were nominated by our Association - except for myself, of course - for the rest of the lot I will play it by ear, unless there is a strong voice from the members. One issue for clarification. You might have noticed that Clément Genty is running for office and is a member of our Association. I have not nominated him for the simple reason that I believe that the formal nomination for an EURALO position by our association should be done for members who have been active in the association. However, this does not mean that voters that are unhappy with the known candidates would not decide that they prefer the unknown.
