Re: [EURO-Discuss] Call for nominations
Hi all, regarding Secretariat-Position, first I would like to thank Olivier for his great work! I would like to nominate Oksana Prykhodko, from the European Media Platform, Ukraine, for the Secretariat Postion. We should try to have a balance in EURALO's leadership functions regarding gender and regional equality. Oksana actively participated in EURALO and represents a new member from the Eastern part of our region and for sure will be of great help for outreach in this region in such a function. Chair: Wolf is already nominated, but Iwould also like to thank our Chair for his constant commitment and pushing our association into a rather prominent position in the user community. Board: I would like to add Bill Drake to our nominees - a very good candidate for helping us to build an ALS for individual members And finally, I woud like to thank Sebastian for keeping -as an ICANN Board member- close contact to his At-Large and EURALO community. as you may have seen on our Belgrade GA agenda (points 9 to 13) sent to you yesterday, we will have re-elections for the EURALO officers (Chair and Secretariat), Board members and our ALAC representative (incumbent Olivier Crepin-Leblond who took over from Patrick Vande Walle at the end of last year).
Please note that the Bylaw modification for the term prolongations was accepted.
The call for nomination is open now until Saturday, 28 May 12:00 PM (lunch time), for the following functions:
* Chair * Secretariat * Board members * ALAC representative

Dear all, I like to second Annette's proposal, Oksana is a key player in SE Europe and in particular in Ukraine were she organised the first Ukrainian IGF in 2010. She was as Diplo fellow as well as a student of the European Summer School in 2009. Like Annette stated it is a good signal for outreach and also inclusiveness towards SE European countries. By profession Oksana is a journalist, so IMO absolutely adequate to serve as a EURALO secretary. Look forward to see most of you soon in Belgrade!
