Hello everyone, I am quite concerned that so far we have not received *any* nominations at all for an of the positions offered. In EURALO there is 1 slot to serve on the ICANN Nominating Committee - Yrjö Lansipurö is term limited and is therefore not eligible for renewal. There is also 1 slot on the ALAC. Sandra Hoferichter is yet to say whether she wishes to be considered for renewal. I'd also like to let you know that it is also possible to self-nominate - and then other people can support your self nomination. Dear Olivier, dear EURALO members, I have been at the ALAC for almost 6 years now. I joined at a time when I knew only little about ALAC and ICANN and the learning curve was steep over the last couple of years. I feel it is time for a change and a new EURALO member should take a seat at the ALAC now. The ALAC itself has also evolved over the years; it has become a much more powerful committee than at the time when I joined. This is the result of the ongoing efforts of some very active members and EURALO (with for instance Olivier as the chair for 4 years) was an key contributor here. We need more of such committed members to keep up this positive development. I believe my biggest contribution during my term was the establishment of the Academy (which is not yet in the place where it should be) and the Leadership Programme. My intention was always to facilitate the ground for a better exchange between the committees at ICANN, i.e. breaking silos. My experience from EuroDIG and the Summer School (EuroSSIG) where I learned to facilitate a multistakeholder environment was the basis for all my activities. I would now like to contribute at another place within ICANN and put my name forward to become the next EURALO representative at the NomCom. I believe with the above mentioned background and activities I could take up from there - supporting the ICANN community to become an even better place for an exchange among different actors. I believe my biggest contribution during my term was the establishment of the Academy (which is not yet in the place where it should be) and the Leadership Programme. My intention was always to facilitate the ground for a better exchange between the committees at ICANN, i.e. breaking silos. My experience from EuroDIG and the Summer School (EuroSSIG) where I learned to facilitate a multistakeholder environment was the basis for all my activities. I would now like to contribute at another place within ICANN and put my name forward to become the next EURALO representative at the NomCom. I believe with the above mentioned background and activities I could take up from there - supporting the ICANN community to become an even better place for an exchange among different actors. Positions Open:

AFRALO and APRALO will be holding their selection process for their RALO leaders on the same schedule as the ALAC and NomCom Delegate positions. NARALO began their call for nominations on 11 April 2016. Details are located on the RALO selection, election and appointment pages.
Terms:
ALAC: Terms for the ALAC will run from the end of the 2016 AGM to the end of the 2018 AGM.
ALAC Delegates to the NomCom: Voting members of the NomCom are appointed for a one year term, starting at the 2016 AGM and ending at the close of the 2017 AGM and may be re-appointed for a further term of one year subject to the requirement under the ICANN Bylaws.
ALAC Selection Timetable for 2016 ALAC Members* - Proposed by the ALAC:

My experience from EuroDIG and the Summer School (EuroSSIG) where I learned to facilitate a multistakeholder environment was the basis for all my activities. I would now like to contribute at another place within ICANN and put my name forward to become the next EURALO representative at the NomCom. I believe with the above mentioned background and activities I could take up from there - supporting the ICANN community to become an even better place for an exchange among different actors. I have been at the ALAC for almost 6 years now. I joined at a time when I knew only little about ALAC and ICANN and the learning curve was steep over the last couple of years. I feel it is time for a change and a new EURALO member should take a seat at the ALAC now.
The ALAC itself has also evolved over the years; it has become a much more powerful committee than at the time when I joined. This is the result of the ongoing efforts of some very active members and EURALO (with for instance Olivier as the chair for 4 years) was an key contributor here. We need more of such committed members to keep up this positive development.
I believe my biggest contribution during my term was the establishment of the Academy (which is not yet in the place where it should be) and the Leadership Programme. My intention was always to facilitate the ground for a better exchange between the committees at ICANN, i.e. breaking silos. My experience from EuroDIG and the Summer School (EuroSSIG) where I learned to facilitate a multistakeholder environment was the basis for all my activities.
I would now like to contribute at another place within ICANN and put my name forward to become the next EURALO representative at the NomCom. I believe with the above mentioned background and activities I could take up from there - supporting the ICANN community to become an even better place for an exchange among different actors.
I would kindly like to ask EURALO members for their support.

I am quite concerned that so far we have not received *any* nominations at all for an of the positions offered.
In EURALO there is 1 slot to serve on the ICANN Nominating Committee - Yrjö Lansipurö is term limited and is therefore not eligible for renewal. There is also 1 slot on the ALAC. Sandra Hoferichter is yet to say whether she wishes to be considered for renewal.
I'd also like to let you know that it is also possible to self-nominate - and then other people can support your self nomination.
We have one week left until the end of the nominations, so please consider serving on the ALAC or the Nominating Committee.

I have been at the ALAC for almost 6 years now. I joined at a time when I knew only little about ALAC and ICANN and the learning curve was steep over the last couple of years. I feel it is time for a change and a new EURALO member should take a seat at the ALAC now.
The ALAC itself has also evolved over the years; it has become a much more powerful committee than at the time when I joined. This is the result of the ongoing efforts of some very active members and EURALO (with for instance Olivier as the chair for 4 years) was an key contributor here. We need more of such committed members to keep up this positive development.
I believe my biggest contribution during my term was the establishment of the Academy (which is not yet in the place where it should be) and the Leadership Programme. My intention was always to facilitate the ground for a better exchange between the committees at ICANN, i.e. breaking silos. My experience from EuroDIG and the Summer School (EuroSSIG) where I learned to facilitate a multistakeholder environment was the basis for all my activities.
I would now like to contribute at another place within ICANN and put my name forward to become the next EURALO representative at the NomCom. I believe with the above mentioned background and activities I could take up from there - supporting the ICANN community to become an even better place for an exchange among different actors.

I am quite concerned that so far we have not received *any* nominations at all for an of the positions offered.
In EURALO there is 1 slot to serve on the ICANN Nominating Committee - Yrjö Lansipurö is term limited and is therefore not eligible for renewal. There is also 1 slot on the ALAC. Sandra Hoferichter is yet to say whether she wishes to be considered for renewal.
I'd also like to let you know that it is also possible to self-nominate - and then other people can support your self nomination.
We have one week left until the end of the nominations, so please consider serving on the ALAC or the Nominating Committee.

On behalf of Alan Greenberg, Chair of the ALAC, the 2016 call for nominations for ALAC Members and ALAC Delegates to the NomCom is now open.
Positions Open:
Please refer to the 2016 ALAC and RALO Elections, Selections and Appointments for a comprehensive list of all available positions and whether current holders of the positions are eligible for re-selection.
AFRALO and APRALO will be holding their selection process for their RALO leaders on the same schedule as the ALAC and NomCom Delegate positions. NARALO began their call for nominations on 11 April 2016. Details are located on the RALO selection, election and appointment pages.
Terms:
ALAC: Terms for the ALAC will run from the end of the 2016 AGM to the end of the 2018 AGM.
ALAC Delegates to the NomCom: Voting members of the NomCom are appointed for a one year term, starting at the 2016 AGM and ending at the close of the 2017 AGM and may be re-appointed for a further term of one year subject to the requirement under the ICANN Bylaws.
ALAC Selection Timetable for 2016 ALAC Members* - Proposed by the ALAC:

I joined at a time when I knew only little about ALAC and ICANN and the learning curve was steep over the last couple of years. I feel it is time for a change and a new EURALO member should take a seat at the ALAC now. The ALAC itself has also evolved over the years; it has become a much more powerful committee than at the time when I joined. This is the result of the ongoing efforts of some very active members and EURALO (with for instance Olivier as the chair for 4 years) was an key contributor here. We need more of such committed members to keep up this positive development. I believe my biggest contribution during my term was the establishment of the Academy (which is not yet in the place where it should be) and the Leadership Programme. My intention was always to facilitate the ground for a better exchange between the committees at ICANN, i.e. breaking silos. My experience from EuroDIG and the Summer School (EuroSSIG) where I learned to facilitate a multistakeholder environment was the basis for all my activities. I would now like to contribute at another place within ICANN and put my name forward to become the next EURALO representative at the NomCom. I believe with the above mentioned background and activities I could take up from there - supporting the ICANN community to become an even better place for an exchange among different actors. The ALAC itself has also evolved over the years; it has become a much more powerful committee than at the time when I joined. This is the result of the ongoing efforts of some very active members and EURALO (with for instance Olivier as the chair for 4 years) was an key contributor here. We need more of such committed members to keep up this positive development. I believe my biggest contribution during my term was the establishment of the Academy (which is not yet in the place where it should be) and the Leadership Programme. My intention was always to facilitate the ground for a better exchange between the committees at ICANN, i.e. breaking silos. My experience from EuroDIG and the Summer School (EuroSSIG) where I learned to facilitate a multistakeholder environment was the basis for all my activities. I would now like to contribute at another place within ICANN and put my name forward to become the next EURALO representative at the NomCom. I believe with the above mentioned background and activities I could take up from there - supporting the ICANN community to become an even better place for an exchange among different actors.
