EURALO Outreach Strategic Plan - please comment
Dear colleagues, please be so kind to find this year's EURALO Outreach Strategic Plan, developed in coordination with the EURALO Board as well as EURALO's ALS Engagement Task Force. Because I have launched this process too late, we are really late with the plan and it should be filed with ICANN by the end of the week, which gives us only 24H to finalise this plan. For the purpose of speeding things up, please be so kind to comment directly on the Google Doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11Um3WHmpuhloKceWP26BMdFZ6Xla7NAnX3_VCdIJ... I'll issue a deadline of tomorrow (Friday) 12:00 UTC for closing comments. I realise it is a very short deadline, but this is only one step towards our outreach strategy and we will always be able to improve on this over the year. Kindest regards, Olivier
Olivier, One suggestion I have is to augment the « Task Force on ALS Engagement » section with a mention of the difficulties some ALSes may have in explaining to their members how they are able to participate and helping them to understand the basic At Large structure and dynamics so that their participation becomes easier. It’s certainly an issue we’ve had in the individual users’ org and I think it would be useful to reflect this in EURALO’s Outreach Plan. Dear Stéphane, as a follow-up, have you read the beginner's guide that explains how to participate in At-Large? https://www.icann.org/resources/files/participating-at-large-2013-11-08-en Is the guide missing the point? How can we rectify this? As the guide is now more than 3 years old, it looks like it's going to need a refresh/update/improvement.
