How to deal with the GDRP as a blogger
My writeup on this issue. It's mostly FUD around, so some practical advice might help. https://lutz.donnerhacke.de/eng/Blog/The-practical-guide-to-GDRP If you are interested, I'd recommend setting up a workspace in confluence. I'd actively help with questions. For ICANN AtLarge (at least EURALO), we urgently need a list if data processing issues: - Membership handling - Mailinglists and archives - Travel arrangements - Meetings (recordings, transcriptions, attendence lists) - Telcos (es. call outs) - Wiki/Confluence We need for each of this processes: - What data is collected? - Why is this data needed? - Who is responsible for this process? - How long is the data stored? - How can somebody request a change or deletion? - Where to complain? Each of the entries can be very short, but we should have them.
If I am not mistaken you need to add or specify on the "need for each of this processes" also: - the legal basis on which the data are processed. (Article 13, 1 c)) All the best Rainer Rodewald Lutz Donnerhacke schrieb am 21.05.2018 um 01:38:

I do not consider those legal surroundings helpful. You are required to write a comprehensive and easy to understand document. The intended audience is the ordinary user, not a bunch of lawyers. IHMO.
There's two parts to this: - the legal basis of doing it - the explanation to the world of what you're doing -- Mr Michele Neylon Blacknight Solutions Hosting, Colocation & Domains https://www.blacknight.com https://blacknight.blog / http://ceo.hosting/ Intl. +353 (0) 59 9183072 Direct Dial: +353 (0)59 9183090 ------------------------------- Blacknight Internet Solutions Ltd, Unit 12A,Barrowside Business Park,Sleaty Road,Graiguecullen,Carlow, R93 X265 ,Ireland Company No.: 370845 On 21/05/2018, 09:36, "EURO-Discuss on behalf of Lutz Donnerhacke" <euro-discuss-bounces@atlarge-lists.icann.org on behalf of lutz@donnerhacke.de> wrote: On Mon, May 21, 2018 at 02:08:46AM +0200, Rainer Rodewald wrote: > If I am not mistaken you need to add or specify on the "need > for each of this processes" also: > > - the legal basis on which the data are processed.
