Success Criteria for GAC Early Engagement in the GNSO Issue Scoping Phase Pilot
Hi, Just following up on one of the action items from our call last month. Attached to this email, you will find some thoughts on possible criteria for measuring success of the recommendations we made regarding the GAC’s early engagement in the issue scoping phase of a GNSO PDP. They are set up in a mind map in the PDF version, and as a table in the MS Word document. Feedback would be most welcome and appreciated. Thanks. Amr
Dear Amr .. Thanks a million !! I will compile my comments and share them in a separate message .. Meanwhile I thought to acknowledge receipt and thank you very much for your efforts .. One general comment for now .. I think the majority of the excellent success criteria you're listing are either from a GAC perspective or a GNSO one .. I think we will also need to think about success criteria from the perspective of our joint consultation group .. In other words: - Did the work of the CG and the suggested mechanisms facilitate GAC early engagement in the GNSO PDP? - If not, why? (i.e. try to identify the problem) .. If yes, then did the GNSO find this useful in their deliberations? Did this help converge views on certain topics of common interest? - .... Does this make sense or is it out of context ? Hi Manal, I don’t think it’s out of context at all. In fact, the intent was trying to link the success criteria to the recommendations made by the CG. The differentiation between the GAC and GNSO in the criteria is only meant to reflect which group’s action within the suggested process is relevant to any given recommendation made by the CG. Apologies for not making this clearer. This is only a preliminary draft with suggestions, but would be happy to work on improving it. Thanks.
