I’m no longer affiliated to a government, GAC or PSWG, however I’m still on the IRT membership (I checked!), and wanted to share a couple of thoughts in my personal capacity.

Regarding the 24hr turnaround for High Priority requests, when preparing the original drafts of the LEA framework, we were very careful to keep it consistent with the 2013 RAA. In this regard, I agree with Steve Metalitz’ assessment on the previous thread. I think that is still the case and, as such, I don’t personally think there are substantive new policy issues which require sending this back to the GNSO council.

I think all the elements are there for this to work, but maybe a little more detail might help find the middle ground, and cover off the issues of risk, liability and cost.

Happy to share further thoughts should people feel it may be of help.

I’d like to commend everyone for the ongoing work, I think you’re doing really well, and I think you’re very close to wrapping this up.

Because the consensus survey about referral to the Council is a specific process under the IRT Guidelines, I’m not sure it should be combined with a survey about issues currently being discussed by the IRT (especially given Steve’s comments regarding intended discussion at the next meeting).
