Dear PPSAI IRT,
Welcome to the PPSAI IRT and thank you for volunteering to support our policy implementation project.
For those that missed the kick-off meeting at ICANN81 in Kigali, please begin by viewing the recording of
the orientation session.
As you’ll note, we are fortunate to have members from the original IRT (2016 IRT) as well as the members from the PDP WG that authored the report. We are also joined by members
knowledgeable about the current offering and services for the privacy proxy to advise our work. The IRT member list is maintained in the
IRT wiki
If you are receiving this email via the IRT email, you should already have access to the IRT workspaces by now. If you need logistical support, please contact
Dana Kuebler(Project Manager,
dana.kuebler@icann.org) or Noor Zannat(Project
Coordinator, noor.zannat@icann.org)
After you get oriented, there are IRT tasks assignments to be completed. All assignments will be issued by emails task by task and also maintained as a list in the
IRT Workbook.
Look for separate emails following this one for task assignment. Now that the IRT email is available to use, you may choose to ask questions and conduct discussion. As much as possible, I’d like to get our work done via emails asynchronously and reserve
our meeting time for topics best suited for live discussions.
Our next meeting time and date will be set and announced after we conduct a brief survey to find the optimum timeslot. Please reply promptly to the survey so that we can lock on
the date and time. We had intended to hold our meeting on 11 July 2024 but with many new members joining and unavailability of key team members, we decided to postpone to the following week tentatively. .
The next IRT meeting will be the sharing of observations of the PPSAI Final Report that has been assigned to you (Task
20240613b) We’ve allocated the full 90-minute for this one agenda. This being our first discussion with many new to PPSAI, an open discussion of the policy
recommendations in the final report will serve us well to ensure that we all have a good understanding of the recommendations language.
For the subsequent IRT meetings, you’ll find a draft work plan in the
IRT workbook
subject to change based on how we see the IRT work pace.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to working together for a successful project.
