Hello IRT,

Thank you to all who participated in yesterday’s discussion regarding the specific policy requirements relating to P/P service providers for the purpose of the PPSAI Consensus Policy. The Zoom recording is available on the PPSAI meeting Wiki space.

Meeting Topics Covered:

• ICANN org introduced the PPSAI Consensus Policy Requirements for Privacy and Proxy (P/P) Service Providers (19 May 2026) document.
• IRT reviewed and discussed ICANN org’s current implementation approach for each requirement.
• IRT discussed differing views on which entities should be considered P/P providers for the purpose of the PPSAI Consensus Policy.

IRT Tasks:

• Provide comments within the PPSAI Consensus Policy Requirements for P/P Service Providers document by EOD Thursday, May 28.
• Continue IRT discussion on the email list.

ICANN org Tasks:

• Review IRT input on the PPSAI Consensus Policy Requirements for P/P Service Providers document and share responses with IRT in advance of the next meeting. 
• Develop potential options for resolving which entities should be considered P/P providers for the purpose of the PPSAI Consensus Policy and share with IRT in advance of the next meeting. 

Next IRT Meeting:

• The IRT’s next meeting will be in-person at ICANN86 on Wednesday, 10 June at 14:30 UTC.
• Meeting Objectives:
  • Determine means for resolving which entities should be considered P/P providers for the purpose of the PPSAI Consensus Policy
  • Finalize P/P Consensus Policy requirements relating to P/P service providers
  • Begin discussion on Definitions and review relevant GNSO Council Guidance
