9 April PPSAI IRT Meeting
Hello IRT, Thank you to all those who participated in the requirements flow wrap-up discussion and the robust dialogue on resellers, “knowingly” related issues, and existing policy and contractual related requirements related to privacy and proxy services at our ICANN85 meeting. I hope that everyone who attended in-person had an uneventful trip home. In response to IRT’s input, the ICANN org team has been working to, 1. develop a paper to align with the IRT on current thinking related to “knowingly,” including with regard to resellers, and 2. in parallel, streamline the initial Consensus Policy draft to make sure it leverages all relevant policies and existing contractual obligations, including but not limited to the Registration Data Policy and RAA. We believe it is critical to resolve both points to ensure the IRT’s input fully informs the initial policy draft before the language is finalized for IRT review. Following resolution, ICANN org will finalize the draft Consensus Policy and share with the IRT for review. Next IRT Meeting * The next IRT meeting will be on Thursday, 9 April at 15:30 UTC (.ics file attached). * The goal of this meeting is to review current thinking on knowingly and resellers and facilitate IRT discussion. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
