Given that .CN is currently one of the more restrictive TLDs in ID verification requirements, it may be surprising to some that the ccTLD is also still one of the top rankers in many abuse studies. So verification is not a magic bullet vs abuse, and forcing all other TLDs doing business in China to also comply with such rules will not address the abuse issue. But then, that probably also is not the main goal of these efforts.
