"Translations are not billed per hour, but per word. When a document is submitted for translation the material is assessed, one of the pieces of information we get from this assessment is the word count which allows us to estimate the time needed for delivery and, of course, the cost for the project.
However, when the document or text to be translated represents less than 100 words, then the cost applied to the project is the “minimum cost”, and that is anywhere between $25 to $75, depending on the language, for any document of 100 or less words.”
I hope this is useful as a ball park figure.
Very best.
Lars

Chris
I’ve reached out to the drafters of our comment to get that information for you.
I assume that the number is drawn in part from the volume of UDRP / URS etc., vs the number of actual domains registered,
but will confirm.
Regards
Michele

Dear Michele,
The Translation and Transliteration of Contact Information PDP WG is just about to start drafting its final report and it was noticed that the RrSG public comment
http://forum.icann.org/lists/comments-transliteration-contact-initial-16dec14/msg00001.html
on p.3 mentions that only about 0.1% of domains are subject to law enforcement query or brand protection intervention. Please let us know the source of this statistic, as we would like to follow it up and possibly use it in our report.
Sorry for not asking you about this nearer the time of the comment.
Regards,
Chris.
