Thanks Ariel. Hi Everyone, In addition to the brief proposed agenda, just a recap on a few things I think we discussed to date: 1. On sending liaison(s) to the ccPDP on IDN ccTLDs, will ask the GNSO council to call for volunteer(s) to serve as liaison(s) with the understanding that I. the liaisons should have some expertise on the subject matter and, 2. not be limited council members. 2. On the topic of ICANN IDN Implementation Guidelines we will propose for the GNSO to setup 2 working groups: I. an expert group that should include policy/legal and technical/operations expertise to address outstanding issues of the implementation of the guidelines 4.0 and its implications on operations, change of backend registry and the Registry Agreement in particular as it relates to Exhibit A and Spec 6. II. A policy working group that would look into the appropriate future processes and updates of the IDN Implementation Guidelines, including where it may be appropriate to distinguish/separate from the ccNSO, and how it fits into the broader policy context and technical/operational requirements of gTLDs. Would like to confirm that we are good with the above at this meeting and start working on the IDN Variant TLD recommendations part. Ariel has also kindly coordinated with Sarmad to give us a briefing today Talk to you all in half an hour. Hi Edmon, Thanks for this update, for your continued work on the topic, and for the work of the scoping team members. I have an action item to reach out to ccNSO Chair Katrina Sataki to discuss next steps for GNSO-ccNSO collaboration on IDNs, but I want to be sure I’m taking into account the latest views of our scoping team. Is there any further update following your latest call, or are the details below still accurate? Is it premature to reach out to Katrina with concrete plans/proposals? If so, when do you think we’ll be ready to communicate with the ccNSO? Please let me know what you think in terms of substance and timing.
