Adobe Connect chat transcript for Tuesday 08 April 2014:

Terri Agnew:Welcome to the Data & Metrics for Policy Making Working Group on the 8th of April 2014

Nenad Orliæ:Hi, im newcomer to the WG and as i understend i need to dial-in to be able to participate with sound?

Terri Agnew:Welcome Nenad, you have two options to get audio. 1) enable your mic on adobe connect or 2) dial into conf using your telphone. Which do you prefer?

Terri Agnew:Actually a third option is we can dial out to you

Nenad Orliæ:Terri, i allowed adobe connect to use my mic/cam but when i click audio icon i only get 'you have to dial in'

Nenad Orliæ:and since i'm currently in mocow

Nenad Orliæ:that is not an option

Nenad Orliæ:so please, help with option 1? :)

Terri Agnew:to active your adobe mic select the telphone option on top tool bar and follow instructions from there. Once Icon has changed form telelphone to microphone, its active

Terri Agnew:Nenad, I heard you. As a reminder you will want to mute your mic when not speaking

Nenad Orliæ:yes, that was just a test

  Nenad Orliæ:thank you

  Terri Agnew:Your welcome

  Marinel Rosca:Hello everyone

Berry Cobb:We'll get started in 5 minutes.

  Sonigitu Ekpe:Greetings from Calabar, Nigeria.

  Terri Agnew:Janvier Ngnoulaye has joined

  Janvier Ngnoulaye:Hello  every one

Janvier Ngnoulaye:Since we have 3 Co-chairs, I suggest that the first one the list moves to Chair position

Berry Cobb:As a note, staff will publish a new member list to the WIKI.  We had a large influx of volunteers from our Singapore session.

Berry Cobb:Janvier you may be on mute

  Sonigitu Ekpe:I support Janvier comment.

  Marinel Rosca:I agree to Cheryl

Berry Cobb:I will take the action to send a Chair Notice to the mailing list shortly after this call.

Sonigitu Ekpe:I support Berry on the call since Cheryl comments are of great importance.

Nenad Orliæ:Please, put one co-chair as chair, and lets move on :)

  Berry Cobb:https://community.icann.org/display/marwg/27+March+2014+Meeting+-+ICANN49+Singapore

Janvier Ngnoulaye:Do the current Chair had prepared someone before to take this position. Question to Mikey

  Graeme Bunton: /wave

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I trust my apologies were noted for that Singapore Meeting as I had conflicting meetings

Berry Cobb:@Janvier - No preparation has been done.  Mikey's annoucement occurred last night.

Tony Onorato:I have to step away from computer -- have phone with me but have sick kid duties to address -- I'll be listening on mute

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Janvier. Mikey left fairly suddenly but he would have been working with all 3 of the VC's  and of course  Jonathan as a VC has that as well as a wealth of experience as a Chair and in this topics

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Hey some of us have been in enough of all of those to be useful in that experience Berry :-) :-) :-)

Janvier Ngnoulaye:OK, May be we must seize this opportunity to fix it into the bylaws, if there is no provision on that ?

Mary Wong:@Janvier, it's the GNSO Working Group Guidelines that lay out the role and selection of a WG Chair. As part of the GNSO Operating Procedures, any changes have to first go through a public comment process. Recently any such changes have been developed by the GNSO's Standing Committee on Improvements, on referral from the GNSO Council.

Janvier Ngnoulaye:Thank Mary for these explanations.

Mary Wong:You're very welcome! There's nothing to stop a WG from recommending that this be done, to the GNSO Council, but I thought it might be helpful to you all to know the process.

  Berry Cobb:http://gnso.icann.org/en/group-activities/inactive

  Graeme Bunton:very quiet

Jonathan Zuck:Jeremy we cannot hear you

  Berry Cobb:Jeremy, you are muted.

  Jeremy Beale:don't think Mike's working

Terri Agnew:Jeremy if needed we can dial out to you on telephone?

  Jeremy Beale:+61481528793

Terri Agnew:Jeremy We will dial out to you

  Jeremy Beale:ok anksks

Berry Cobb:I have started a small list.  I can work with JZ to start a draft that we can send out to the list.

Sonigitu Ekpe:Please can I have the link to the DMPM Project Page

  Berry Cobb:http://gnso.icann.org/en/group-activities/active/dmpm

  Terri Agnew:Jeremy is on audio

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:in some WG's the mind maps are updated live on share screen so that does work

Jonathan Zuck: yes, we can do that in the next meeting Cheryl

  Janvier Ngnoulaye:Me too, I support Chair's suggestions

Olevie:Please, who is our new Chair ?

Olevie:Little bit have  delay in info ...

Jonathan Zuck:We don't hvae one yet. I'm acting Chair I guess but Berry will put out a call for volunteers

  Olevie:ok

  Olevie:Good

  Olevie:I suggest a bi-weekly meeting

  Janvier Ngnoulaye:Bi-Weekly meeting for me

  Olevie:cause of o WG meetingsthers

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yup you have just said my thoughts @berry

Tony Onorato:Biweekly would be my inclination -- weekly ends up resulting in overly piecemeal progress

Janvier Ngnoulaye:Do not forget that every month we have a GNSO WG Newcomer Open House Sessions

  Jonathan Zuck:Thanks Janvier

Janvier Ngnoulaye:You are welcome Jonathan :)

  Jonathan Zuck:Olevie? go ahead
