Dear DNS Abuse Small Team,

 

In preparation for the next meeting, the staff support team has gone ahead and done some further clean up of the document by accepting edits and removing comments that have already been discussed / reviewed. For the next meeting, please consider the following remaining items (see https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dDXKtna8jtn7y2TO0mr1P7Fg3Pdj_v4B/edit?pli=1):

  1. Page 12-13 – RAA 3.18.1 – note that Greg has suggested alternative language to describe the possible gaps. Are there any concerns about this alternative language?
  2. Page 13 – cooperation with non-ICANN parties (see comment from Thomas) – the staff support team is suggesting that this point could be included as part of the introduction to this section of the report as it seems to apply to other recommendations as well and not only this one. Does that make sense or is there a preference to include it only for this specific recommendation?

In addition, the staff support team has made the following updates after last week’s meeting for your review:

  1. Page 8-9 – updated high level overview of what a request for an Issue Report is expected to include / address. As mentioned during the call, some of this language has been borrowed from the DNS Abuse Institute submission to the small team.
  2. Page 15 – proposed reference to Ry Spec 11, section 3(b) and the work already undertaken (to address the points made by Justine as well as Sebastien)

You are encouraged to review and comment on these items in advance of Wednesday’s meeting. Once the group has finalized its review of these outstanding items, it will further consider possible sequencing / prioritization of the recommendations.
