In this week’s meeting, the EPDP Team is expected to start the review of ICANN org input (received in November 2022) for a subsect of draft recommendations.

Staff prepared a spreadsheet tool to facilitate the EPDP Team’s review: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PwsbeW2Ihw_qJNzVEnPs-9uW3ZaMZ19oToEhaYMwkB4/edit?usp=sharing. We are circulating this tool ahead of the call to provide you a preview.

Please note the following:

• The spreadsheet maps the Org input to the individual draft recommendation and charter question. Specifically, Column H includes the Org input text.
• General Comments 1-7 at the top of the chart apply to multiple recommendations. Hence you may notice some duplications in the spreadsheet.
• Per discussion between leadership team and staff, we have identified a subsect of Org input that may require further discussions by the EPDP Team. Those input were marked as “Yes” in Column I. In the subsequent meetings, we expect to focus discussions on those items.
• The Org input for Rec 2.4, E2 (objection processes), and E3 (string similarity review) have already been discussed by the EPDP Team.
• The remaining Org input were identified as “low-hanging fruit” that may not require discussion by the EPDP Team; those input were marked as “No” in Column I. Pending the team’s agreement on this assessment, the leadership team and staff can incorporate those input as redline in our draft output documents.
