Hello everyone, Following the discussion of the recommendation revision, the leadership team is requesting everyone to conduct a closer review of the proposed redlines in this google doc, including the redlines in the rationale as well as the content in the Public Comment Review sections: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dH7hAtKAuLqMoVftRRvk9JSSlWQOjLuBS_PsTEVW... Please raise any *final*concerns regarding these redlines via mailing list by EOB Tuesday, 19 September. The goal is to finalize all of the Phase 1 recommendations during the EPDP Team call on Thursday, 21 September. Please also note the following: * Rec 3.5 and IG 3.6 (pp.10-11): Leadership team is expected to propose further revision via mailing list. ALAC and RySG representatives are also encouraged to provide input for 3.5.4. Rationale section has not been updated. * Rec 3.17 (pp.24, 26): A new sentence is added at the end, to accommodate the situation where the CJK GPs decide not to issue any guidelines on single-character TLDs. * Rec 3.22 (pp.30, 32): The phrase “…as recommended by the SubPro PDP” is removed, in the event that Board decides not to adopt the challenge mechanism related SubPro outputs (if the Board decides to adopt, removing this phrase should not change the intent or outcome). * Rec 4.4 (pp.45-46): may need further refinement, pending review of the string similarity process in the 2012 AGB and the treatment of gTLDs / ccTLDs that are already in process but not yet delegated. Thank you all! Have a nice weekend. Best Regards, Ariel Ariel Xinyue Liang Policy Development Support Manager Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)
