Dear Small Team B members (James/Sarah, Hadia, Amr/Ayden, Chris L., Steve, Kristina/Marc A., Thomas, Brian, Benedict, Leon, Trang and Rafik),

Please find attached for your review the updated discussion tables for the purpose and recommendations that small team B discussed during yesterday’s meeting. Please note that:

• The purpose 3 and recommendation #19 documents are intended to represent the proposed EPDP Team response to the concerns expressed as well as proposed modification / change, if applicable, for EPDP Team consideration. The notes of Tuesday’s meeting which represent the background to the proposed response and modification/change were already shared with the full EPDP Team and hopefully you have also been able, or will be able, to share any further background with your colleagues, as needed.
• For purpose 5 and recommendations  #10 and #16, some draft responses as well as some questions for small team B consideration have been added. The draft responses aim to reflect the conversation to date, but as the small team has not completed its consideration yet of these issues, these should not be considered final. You are encouraged to review these ahead of Thursday’s meeting and share any input you may have ahead of the call.

In addition, you are expected to review the PCRTs (see https://community.icann.org/x/U4cWBg) as well as the discussion tables (see https://mm.icann.org/pipermail/gnso-epdp-team/2019-January/001176.html) for the following purposes and recommendations ahead of Thursday’s small team B meeting. Please feel free to share your thoughts ahead of the meeting in relation to which concerns present new information and rationale that warrant further consideration and potential modifications.

• Recommendation #13 – Controller Agreement
• Purpose 7 - gTLD registration policy eligibility criteria 
• Recommendation #20 - Input to Transfer Policy review (incl. Question #5)
• Recommendation #11 - Data retention
