Hi "CBM",

I was referring to the Phase two plan to have one weekly meeting every Thursday for WS 1 and additional meetinges every three or so weeks for WS 2 we discussed and approved back in May.

I have no mail from staff dated May 25. I see something was proposed on May 27, e.g. the day of the last meeting, which was a national holiday over here. Seems rather short notice to propose additional meeting for the first day after a holiday on the morning of a holiday, but I understand that you cannot keep all the national holidays in mind for our schedule or we'd never get anything done.

Still, this has the potential to bloom out into 3 meetings in some weeks, and we have not even started that long ago. What will our schedule look like once we approach the targets? And lets be honest here: "For those interested" means nothing but requiring participation by all represented groups as these meetings form the basis for substantive discussions down the road. So we already are at 5.5+ hours in some weeks, plus additional team duties, reading, prep, list discussion, etc.

Lets keep it at two meetings per week tops, with the expectation of only one weekly meeting in at least half of the weeks, as discussed and agreed initially.

Best,

Volker

Volker, staff is not sure what you are referring to when you say ‘two slots we agreed to’? The EPDP Team has one fixed slot at the moment, Thursday’s at 14.00 UTC. During the meeting on 23 May it was proposed to add a limited number of additional calls for those interested to work through the priority 2 worksheets, not plenary meetings, with any output going to the full team for review. Based on a review of the overall schedule of GNSO related meetings and the desire to not add more than one additional call a week, staff put forward the schedule for these calls on 25 May (see https://mm.icann.org/pipermail/gnso-epdp-team/2019-May/001996.html). Thanks for clarifying your concern.

Best regards,

Caitlin, Berry and Marika

Can we please keep the meetings to the two slots we agreed to? Having to see our schedule creep into other days this early in our deliberations does not bode well for our continued work.

Best,

Volker
