I do not believe this question has been answered. I have reviewed the blog post and it lacks detail. I am not finding any firm information on the proposed timeline for future interactions between ICANN org and the European Data Protection Board. I am also unclear on which Directorate-General within the European Commission ICANN org will be consulting with, and when. I consider it difficult for us to do our work when these information asymmetries persist.

Dear EPDP Team,

Please find hereby the ICANN Org response to a question raised during the ICANN64 meeting in Kobe:

Question:

Does ICANN org plan to share the TSG’s report with the EPBD/DPAs? If so, please provide more information on the timeline.

Response:

Dear EPDP Team,

Thank you for your question. As you may know, the Technical Study Group has been exploring technical solutions for authenticating, authorizing, and providing access to non-public registration data for third parties with legitimate interests.   More information regarding ICANN org’s next steps following the draft technical model shared during ICANN 64 can be found on Göran’s blog post published on 5 April 2019.

We’ll also add this question and response to the Q & A page on the wiki.

Best regards,

Caitlin, Berry and Marika
