Subject: [GNSO-EPDPP2-SmallTeam] Updated addendum & timeline for next steps
Dear All,
As discussed during yesterday’s EPDP Phase 2 small team meeting, we’ve gone ahead and resolved comments that have been addressed and accepted related redline changes. In addition, we have added the draft text for section
3 that was previewed during the call (see
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Uj8jWtcKwzS4swLCGNKIU5JBMT9Paij-/edit?pli=1 [docs.google.com]). As a reminder, this draft text presumes that the outstanding question of sending the disclosure request to participation registrars via encrypted email will
be addressed in a manner satisfactory to registrars (and the small team).
The staff support team has also reached out to our ICANN org colleagues to ask: 1) Is the data that the small team recommends is collected and reported on aligned with what is foreseen to be collected by the Whois Disclosure
System, 2) Would there be a significant difference in workload for staff if the small team would request monthly vs. every two months, or quarterly data reports, 3) When is a response on the email encryption question expected to be received?
As a reminder, the timeline for next steps is as follows:
Please review the latest version of the addendum (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Uj8jWtcKwzS4swLCGNKIU5JBMT9Paij-/edit?pli=1
[docs.google.com]) and add any feedback or suggested edits you may have in the form of comments. Please do so in advance of the next meeting (25 October at 14.00 UTC) so that any items requiring further discussion can be added to the agenda for that meeting.
Best regards,
Marika
