Dear IRT, Thanks for joining us yesterday for our first IRT meeting dealing with the Red Cross names update. You’ve asked same questions that we, the IPT, asked when we were getting started. Why can’t we just make the update to the reserved names list with 10-day notice? Why do we need a public comment? Do we need to publish another consensus policy? If not, why do we need to change to the consensus policy we’ve published? I am glad we had a chance to discuss these yesterday as the implementation team: IPT+IRT. For those who missed the meeting, we’ll recap the topics at our next meeting. The meeting slides have been uploaded on the IRT wiki page: https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=56136339 For our next meeting on 25 April, we will share our initial implementation plan with you. I just sent out the meeting invite so if you haven’t received it, please let me know. Thank you for your contribution in the protection of the DNS labels for the Red Cross around the world. Thousands and thousands of labels, right? The IPT is working to count them all so you don’t have to but please do share if someone has counted. Btw, Dennis T. got back to me – no redline needed. — Kind Regards, Dennis S.
