Re: [Gnso-impl-irtpd-rt] IRTP-D drafts going out for public comment
Hi All, I wanted to run a few thoughts by everyone for consideration/discussion. Regarding the transfer policy definitions, do you think further clarification is needed in the following areas? 1. Registrar of Record (1.11) – this is currently defined as “the Registrar who sponsors a domain name at the registry.” Since this does not make a connection the domain(s) in question, would it be beneficial to have it read “the current Registrar who sponsors the specific domain name(s) in question at the registry”? 2. Transfer Policy (1.15) - this currently refers to transfer of sponsorship only and does not reference/include Change of Registrant. Should this reference Change of Registrant as well? Additionally, for consistency, should 3.1 be revised to read “Registrar files a Complaint with a Dispute Resolution Provider” since “Request for Enforcement” appears to have been deleted/replaced in other instances? Here is a link to the document that is being referenced above, https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/draft-registrar-tdrp-redline-10n... Finally, and it may be that I’m just missing it, but do either IRTP-C or D allow for inter-registrant transfer disputes? Is it presumed that the new prescribed inter-registrant process will eliminate any disputes arising? Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I appreciate any clarification that can be provided.
