EXTENSION: Election/Selection of Chair and Vice Chair for 2015
Dear SCI members, **Please note that the deadline for this item has been extended to COB, Friday, 12 December.** This is a reminder that per the SCI Charter, each December the SCI has to nominate, select and (if necessary) elect a Chair and Vice Chair for the following year. Only primary members of the SCI (i.e. no alternates) are eligible to stand for either position. Per the Charter, the Chair and Vice Chair shall serve for a 1-year term with the option to continue for a second 1-year term. Ron Andruff has served two 1-year terms and thus is term-limited and cannot continue in the position in 2015. The SCI therefore needs at least one volunteer/nominee for Chair for 2015. Dear All, Cintra has informed me that she does not plan to run for Vice-Chair again. With that mind, I am pleased to submit a self-nomination. Although I am new to the group, I have found the work interesting and vital. I would welcome the opportunity to support Anne as Chair as I agree that she is a wonderful choice.
