Ok.  Can you recirculate the staff paper and also a template charter we can use.  I would be happy to work with anyone else on the charter.  Please let me know if you are interested.

Thanks.

Jeff, your offer of assistance is appreciated and your email has been received. I’ll send a longer email later, but a high level overview of what comes next is:

(1) Integrate the Staff Paper from January, 2015 into the issue table;

(2) Coordinate the issue table to the existing policy behind the current new gTLD round;

(3) Finalize the issue table and make sure the issues are clearly and fairly listed and categorized appropriately;

(4) Draft a report summarizing the work of the discussion group and its purpose; and,

(5) Draft a proposed charter for a future GNSO working group to send to the Names Council with our final report.

I think the piece that needs the most work is (5), so if you’d like to help put together a small drafting committee to lead that work, that assistance would be very welcome. Others may wish to assist there as well. That draft charter really will be the scoping document for the substantive policy work.

I then see the output of this discussion group as a Report from the Discussion Group (4 above) with a recommendation to the Names Council to create a Policy Development Process based on the proposed charter (5 above). The issue table (3 above) will be an addendum to the Proposed Charter, showing the issues to be addressed, categorized appropriately with tags for issues that correspond directly to any existing GNSO policy.

Sorry to be sending another message, but as I have not seen any replies, I am just testing this to see if it works.  If it does, can Steve or Brett provide a status and next steps.  Again, happy to help out.

Thanks.

All,

I notice it has been more than a month or so since any recent activity.  There was an update given at ICANN in Singapore and I thought there was a report that was supposed to come out.  What is the current state of affairs on this and the action plan moving forward.  Happy to help out if I can.

Thanks.
