Hello All,
I believe these introductions are a really good thing that will benefit the work to come. I would like to encourage those that have not sent an introduction message, and are inclined to do so, to respond to the list whenever you have a moment.
My name is Steve Chan and I will be leading the ICANN policy staff support for this Discussion Group. Previously, I spent a number of years with the New gTLD Program, so I hope that my experiences there will be beneficial to this effort.
Best, Steve

Hello,
Great to see the introductions and the group starting to form, so I guess it is a good time to jump in
My name is Jeffrey Eckhaus and I am with Rightside Group. The parent company of eNom and Name.com <http://Name.com> both registrars as well as United TLD the registry for 30+ new TLDs as well as Rightside Registry, the back end service provider for 150+ new TLDs.
As you can see, we are a vertically integrated entity with an interest in the rollout of another round of new TLDs and will hopefully be able to give perspective on all parts of the value chain.
Thanks
Jeff

My name is David Cake, I'm a GNSO councillor for the Non-Commercia Stakeholder Group, and currently one of the Vice-Chairs of the GNSO Council. I've also formerly been Chair of the Non-Commercial Users Constituency. I also served on the Security Stability and Resiliency Review Team. I'm the Chair of Electronic Frontiers Australia, an internet civil rights lobby group (not part of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, more of a similar sibling organisation). I also teach about the Internet for Curtin College in Perth, Western Australia and I'm currently also a graduate student, Prior to that, I did freelance software development, technical consulting, and system administration. Like many others, I think the public policy side of the last GNSO round was a mess, as were many other parts of the process. I don't want a long delayed second round, but there are a lot of things we should fix. Regards David
