I have now listened to last night’s call.  (Apologies for missing.)  In the interest of brevity, I would observe as follows:

1. It appears from several comments on the call that the method Leadership is using to determine “high level agreement” is not clear.  (I note in particular the interventions of Donna Austin and Jim Prendergast.)

2. The proposed resort to small groups going forward, is, in my opinion, unlikely to result in streamlined work since those recommendations have to come back to the full WG anyway.  (There was supposedly a small group on the Predictability Framework but nothing has happened.)  The conditions surrounding the publication of an Initial Report which had not achieved full WG discussion was that discussion by the full WG would not be prejudiced by varying from the PDP Manual.

3.  I agree two calls per week will likely result in more work getting done but only if Leadership is willing to clarify its process for consensus call on an issue  - not just by referring members to the revisions to the summary document.   A critical element to make progress here will be the addition of Item 4 below.

4. Where continuing disagreement is expressed during the calls and on the list and Leadership finds that discussion to be repetitive, I urge Leadership to call for the draft Minority Statement and “move on”.

Thank you,

Anne
