Regarding the discussion on the full WG call related to 2012 applications, could you please circulate to the full WG the list of all applications which are “stuck” and the reason that these are “stuck”? We would need to consider this
if any sort of recommendation were going to be made with respect to “special considerations” mentioned by Trang.
Please also note that in relation to the discussion as to .HOME, .CORP, and .MAIL, the discussion throughout Work Track 4 was that these are out of scope for the current PDP. I note this in part because although the status of these is
listed as “Not Approved” by ICANN, some of these applications have not actually been withdrawn.
Once again, my understanding is that 2012 applications are “out-of-scope”. But if we think we can somehow expand the scope, (i.e. with an amendment to the Charter from GNSO?), we would still need advice from ICANN Legal if we are going
to make any recommendations on applications from the 2012 round.
Again, a list of “stuck” applications and their current “Application Status” is needed.
