Thanks for the clarification. For the future, maybe it would be useful to change the language of the call in order to reflect what you are saying, because my reading of the language leads me to understand quite the opposite: "This call will remain open until the PDP WG convenes for the first time. At this juncture, it is anticipated that the PDP WG may convene online in late February 2016". 

Regardless of the fact that we would have an "official" kickstart call or a informal call, I agree that a conversation by voice or e-mail is necessary to plan the group's presence in Marrakech.

Also, if there’s going to be a “face to face” in Marrakech we’re up against the clock on it being of any value to anyone if we haven’t had any meetings before then.

Hello everyone, 

Happy to be in the group and looking forward to work together. I just have one doubt. The call for volunteers says that the first online call of the WG will be scheduled towards the end of February and that the call for volunteers stays open until then. Are we looking to anticipate this schedule? By doing so, are we also reducing the time for the call for volunteers?

A second point is that, looking at the agenda for Marrakech there is one session focused on new gTLD program review. Is there anything else being planned? I imagine the WG will have a face to face meeting in Marrakech. What would be our main goals?

Just writing to see if we were working on setting up an initial call or meeting schedule?  It would be great to meet a couple of times prior to ICANN 55 (which is less than a month away)?  There is a lot of work for us to do in this group.  I know Paul McGrady is the interim chair and as one of the former Discussion Group co-chairs, I would be happy to volunteer to assist Paul.
