Dear WG members,

Attached please find a document prepared by our Registrar Services Team colleagues, Mike Zupke and Amy Bivins, that builds on the discussion they had with the WG a few weeks ago. The document depicts three existing contracting models that are used by ICANN today (registrar accreditation, reseller, and escrow agent/third party provider-RDE); it shows how these processes function and identifies how these contracting models might be applied in the privacy/proxy accreditation context. Do note that the document is basically a pre-implementation overview of the three contracting models, and is offered as background for the WG’s preliminary feedback - as they mentioned during the PPSAI WG call a few weeks ago, no decisions have been made as to a specific implementation option yet.

Mike and Amy plan to take the group through this document at their scheduled session during the WG’s face to face facilitated session in Los Angeles this Friday, and look forward to your feedback.
