Updated Draft Reporr (Re: Proposed agenda - PPSAI WG meeting0
And here is the updated report revised according to the WG call last Tuesday, up to where we stopped (end of agreed preliminary recommendation #17 under Section 1.3.1, with de-accreditation being the last substantive topic for this sub-category; following that, Section 1.3.2 summarizes those categories/questions/points on where there is not yet agreement, and Section 1.3.3 the point on which the WG has a majority and a minority view). Folks Just a quick comment on language in section 1.3.1 - Point 15. the use of the term reveal in the context of ‘publication’ is confusing. This WG is using the term reveal in a quite specific way - i.e., to make known to the party making the query. Publication is, as I understand it, to the public at large. So please, let’s not use the same terms in the same sentence. For publication - maybe making the information publicly available, or something like that Holly On 27 Jan 2015, at 2:26 am, Mary Wong <mary.wong@icann.org> wrote:

Hi All, I think Holly is exactly right. The use of "reveal" to define "reveal" is a bit confusing. How about a set of edits such as those [1.3.1 #15]? Best, Kathy : ·“Publication” means the [DEL: reveal] [ADD: announcement] of a person’s (i.e. the licensee or beneficial owner of a registered domain name) identity/contact details in the WHOIS system [ADD: to the public]. ·“Disclosure” means the [DEL: reveal][ADD: sharing] of a person’s (i.e. the licensee or beneficial owner of a registered domain name) identity/contact details to a third party requestor without Publication in the WHOIS system. :

In fact we are using “disclose,” not “reveal,” to cover the scenario Holly describes , “to make known to the party making the query.” From: gnso-ppsai-pdp-wg-bounces@icann.org [mailto:gnso-ppsai-pdp-wg-bounces@icann.org] On Behalf Of Kathy Kleiman Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2015 9:54 AM To: gnso-ppsai-pdp-wg@icann.org Subject: Re: [Gnso-ppsai-pdp-wg] Updated Draft Reporr (Re: Proposed agenda - PPSAI WG meeting0 Hi All, I think Holly is exactly right. I am relaxed about what words we use. But Steve, early on, we did use the term reveal to distinguish it from relay. So if we are to use other terminology - fine. But please, let’s be clear. - and a definition section will be very helpful Holly On 28 Jan 2015, at 1:59 am, Metalitz, Steven <met@msk.com> wrote:
