Dear Council Accuracy Small Team members,
Thank you for another productive meeting. After some live edits during the meeting, Recommendations 1-3 are now stable, so thank you for your hard work on the text!
Action for Small Team: Please review the
Small Team’s Summary to the Council and provide suggested edits (using the comment function) by
Thursday, 3 July. Note: the 3 July meeting has been cancelled as the Small Team agreed to handle outstanding edits via the list.
Updates to Small Team Summary: Support Staff has updated the
GNSO Accuracy Small Team Summary based on today’s discussion. The added text, which appears on p. 1, p. 3, and pp. 12-13 is highlighted in yellow for transparency and ease of reference. In short, we added the following:
- On p. 1, as part of the introductory text to the recommendations, we added additional context regarding the main areas of alignment, which includes the starting point for the definition
of accuracy as current RAA requirements.
- On p. 3, we added an additional recommendation (Recommendation 4) to clarify that the Small Team recommends discontinuing the work of the Accuracy Scoping Team at this time. Within
the rationale, there is text thanking the Scoping Team for its hard work and noting that while the Scoping Team is recommending the Council proceed with its three recommendations (where the group found alignment), that does not preclude additional scoping
work in the future. However, the Small Team does not recommend proceeding with another scoping team at this time.
- On pp. 12-13, we added the “Venn-ish diagram” to the end of the response summaries so that it can referenced easily; however, we can remove that if the Small Team does not agree to
this addition.
Your edits and additional suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.
Thank you again for the productive discussion.
Best regards,
Feodora and Caitlin
