I second Gabriel’s suggestion. We need more time. Sorry I know this was on our plate for some time but an extension can definitely help.

Sebastien –

I appreciate the start to this data collection process, but note an administrative concern with regards to the initial proposed deadline of Nov 29 (despite it not necessarily being a true deadline).  Namely, we are this week back from ICANN 81 Istanbul, and thus many travelers may be catching up with non-ICANN duties/obligations we’ve been postponing. Secondarily (for the non-zero number of Americans amongst us), we are entering a travel heavy holiday week next week with Thanksgiving.

May I respectfully suggest we target December 6 as initial data collection target?

Gabriel

Subject: [EXTERNAL EMAIL] - [Gnso-rdrs-sc] Request for Input: Observations and Recommendations on final report to RDRS Workbook

Sent on behalf of Sebastien Ducos

Dear RDRS Standing Committee Members,

As we move closer to finalizing our assessment of the RDRS pilot program, I am writing to kindly request your input on the shared workbook. Your observations and recommendations are critical to ensuring that our final report reflects the diverse perspectives and expertise of the Standing Committee.

Please take the time to review the workbook and provide your comments on the following areas:

  1. Trends Identified: Observations on the pilot's outcomes and any patterns you have noted.
  2. Technical Updates: Suggestions for specific improvements to the system’s functionality or user experience.
  3. Lessons Learned: Insights based on the pilot's performance that may shape our recommendations.
  4. Proposed Recommendations: Concrete suggestions for the next steps, whether technical, policy-related, or procedural.

To streamline the process, I kindly ask that you submit your input directly into the workbook by Friday, 29 November 2024. Please ensure that your contributions are clear and concise to facilitate their integration into the draft report. We of course appreciate any input provided also after that due date, but this initial data gathering will allow support staff to start an early draft of the final report for the RDRS SC to comment on and develop further.

Should you have any questions or require clarification, feel free to reach out to me or ICANN Org Support Staff. Your timely input will be instrumental in shaping the final recommendations and ensuring that they are well-supported by data and insights from the pilot.

Thank you in advance for your contributions. I look forward to reviewing your input and advancing final report together. Thank you also to those who already provided input to the workbook.

Kind regards,
Sebastien Ducos
Chair, RDRS Standing Committee
