The redlines in the document reflect the agreed-upon changes during the meeting. As noted in the attached charter, these are the recommendations for implementation: Recommendation 6: That the GNSO record and regularly publish statistics on Working Group participation (including diversity statistics). Recommendation 33: That Stakeholder Groups, Constituencies, and the Nominating Committee, in selecting their candidates for appointment to the GNSO Council, should aim to increase the geographic, gender and cultural diversity of its participants, as defined in ICANN Core Value 4 [now Core Value 2]. Recommendation 35: That the GNSO Council establish a Working Group, whose membership specifically reflects the demographic, cultural, gender and age diversity of the Internet as a whole, to recommend to Council ways to reduce barriers to participation in the GNSO by non- English speakers and those with limited command of English. Recommendation 36: That, when approving the formation of a PDP Working Group, the GNSO Council requires that its membership represent as far as reasonably practicable the geographic, cultural and gender diversity of the Internet as a whole. Additionally, that when approving GNSO Policy, the ICANN Board explicitly satisfy itself that the GNSO Council undertook these actions when approving the formation of a PDP Working Group. Best regards, Julie Julie Hedlund, Policy Director Action Items GNSO Review Working Group Meeting on Thursday, 07 June 2018 at 13:00 UTC Status of two-week review of implementation charter for recommendations 6, 33, 35 and 36 on Diversity and subsequent discussion: Action Item 1: Staff will accept current changes and add text to clarify the relationship between the implementation of the GNSO Review recommendations and CCWG-Accountability Recommendations. Action Item 2: Staff will open a two week consensus call today on the revised implementation Charter. Preparation for Update to OEC and GNSO Council at ICANN62 – Draft Report and Slides: Action Item 3: Staff will include language about the relationship between implementation of GNSO Review recommendations and CCWG-Accountability recommendations in the report to the OEC. Where there is discussion of these recommendations, the text should also reflect this issue (page 12 of the report). Indicate that the recommendations are considered implemented and will be augmented with the implementation of the CCWG-Accountability recommendations. Action Item 4: Update slide 4 of the presentation removing text anticipating consensus approval of implementation charters for recommendations 6, 33, 35 and 36. Adjust text to reflect discussion on the relationship between implementation of GNSO Review Recommendation and CCWG-Accountability recommendations.
