As communicated previously, ICANN org is at the final stage of contracting the vendor. We expect to announce the selected vendor early next week, assuming all documentations and legal checks will be completed by then. In order to launch the Sunrise and Trademark Claims survey before ICANN62, we recommend the selected vendor to engage with the Data Sub Team immediately after contracting in order to gain a clear understanding of the guidance and draft questions provided by the Sub Team. As such, the vendor will then be able to effectively develop the survey methodologies, outreach plan, and survey design and questions in a timely fashion. Staff suggest the Data Sub Team to consider a two-hour meeting with the selected vendor, with the following options: 1. Friday, 25 May at 17:00-19:00 (after the INTA meeting) OR 2. Wednesday, 30 May at 17:00-19:00 (the full WG will meet on the same day at 12:00 UTC) While the proposed timeslots are subject to vendor’s availability due to the contracting process, staff would like to get the Sub Team input early to facilitate the planning. If need be, the Data Sub Team can meet with the vendor for an additional working session on Friday, 1 June to finalize the survey plan and questions. The goal is to have the vendor brief the full WG on the finalized survey questions as early as 6 June but no later than 13 June, following the work with the Data Sub Team.
