Hi Mary, to our questions for Deloitte I would recommend that we add: 1) How many "court-validated" marks are there currently in the TMCH? 2) How many marks in the TMCH fall under the following category: "Other marks that constitute intellectual property and meet a registry's individual requirements"? Follow-up question: how would Deloitte keep these marks from being used in the Sunrise and TM Claims periods of other registries? Tx! Kathy On 9/6/2016 9:07 PM, Mary Wong wrote:

Hi Everyone: There is an additional question we might pose to the TMCH: -- Provide data on the time periods from the time when registry operators announced its Sunrise period until the Sunrise Period launch. --- I remember information coming out of the Data Analysis report that concluded that this time period was often too short to build awareness of the Sunrise. This data could lead the larger RPM group to recommend timing guideline be put in place (or not, but it would be beneficial for us to know). Let me know what you think. Thanks Kurt I think we should be asking this of ICANN’s Global Domains Division. The notice is given by the registry to the GDD via the GDD portal. I believe the GDD passes this information on to the TMCH, so the primary source of the information about the notice of sunrise is the GDD. Hi Susan: I agree with you. The reason we might also ask the Clearinghouse is to get some insight regarding the effect that the length of the time period has upon sunrise registrations. The point I was trying to make below is that the TMCH could probably provide some data or analysis on the relationship between the amount of time trademark holders have to consider a sunrise and the number of sunrise registrations. If we think that is a good idea, I can reword the question to explicitly include that part.
