Hi All,

I’m checking in as well and am looking forward to being part of this working group.  I’ve known many of you over the years, working since the early days on a range of substantive policy issues from WHOIS to the UDRP, and, more recently, the RPMs.   In my former job as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Verizon, I participated on policy issues through the BC, and finished my term last year as a BC rep to the Nominating Committee.   I  retired from Verizon last year (after over 23 years) but am happy to be back at ICANN, having recently joined Mayer Brown.  I’m participating as a member of the IPC.

Congratulations to J. Scott, Phil and Kathy on co-chairing this esteemed group and look forward to our work together.

Best,

Sarah

Hello,

I am very pleased to be part of this working group along with colleagues and friends with whom I have worked over the course of my career.  I am currently  Senior Director for Internet Policy for the International Trademark Association (INTA).   I have a varied background in the legal profession where I have served as a  trademark examiner for the USPTO, in-house intellectual property counsel for a public health charity and a well-known Internet company respectively,  a government contracts specialist and, most recently, as general counsel to a K-12 educational association.  Internet governance and ICANN policy has factored into all of my various roles in some way.  I am currently treasurer of the IPC and a former executive committee member of NPOC and NCSG. When I am not on calls or reviewing comments, I practice yoga and fly kites.

Hi All,

I’m happy to be participating as a WG member.  I currently serve as one of the IPC’s GNSO Councilors.  I’m also the vice-chair for the INTA Internet Committee.  I write the domain name treatise for Lexis-Nexis and my law practice focuses on  trademarks, domain names, and ICANN matters.  My thinking on domain name matters has been heavily influenced by each of our amazing co-chairs, Kathy, J. Scott and Phil and I look forward to this robust policy development process!

Best,

Paul
