To follow up on what was announced at the end of the RPM Working Group call held earlier today, please note that the new rotation cycle for the Working Group calls will be
as follows:
- For
three Wednesdays in a row, the call will be at 1700 UTC; and
- For the
fourth Wednesday, we will keep to the more APAC-friendly time of 0300 UTC (Thursdays).
The co-chairs and staff are very aware that this new rotation does not necessarily improve things for our APAC-based members, and that there’s at least one or two members who
may not be able to do the Wednesday calls at the new time. However, given that Wednesdays have generally been the day allotted to RPMs (with the other GNSO Policy Development Processes, working groups etc. taking slots on the other weekdays), it seemed appropriate
to keep the calls to mostly Wednesdays, but to change the rotation from 1600 to 1700 UTC.
As has been the usual practice, the co-chairs and staff will review this rotation following the next ICANN meeting at the end of October/early November.
