Dear all, The Trademark Claims slide presentation has been updated with the additional questions and suggestions that were made by WG members who were on the call this Wednesday. You can find the updated slide deck – with the additional questions listed on a new Slide #16 – on the WG wiki at: https://community.icann.org/x/QAu4Aw (under the heading Follow Up). In addition, WG members also suggested that registrars be requested to provide data on the total number of registration attempts that were made through them – the objective being to discover how many such attempts did not trigger a Claims Notice (since we have data for the number of Claims Notices triggered, the percentage of registrations that then proceeded toward completion of registration, and the total number of actual registrations, but no information on how many attempted registrations were not subject to a Claims Notice). Staff will note this suggestion for inclusion in the WG’s (or the Sub Team’s, as appropriate) outreach efforts to registrars. WG members are kindly requested to review the full list of Charter questions pertaining to the TMCH, Sunrise and Claims – including the additional community and WG suggestions received – as part of the overall WG exercise to determine whether to consider only some or all of them, and whether other questions need to be added. As noted previously, staff has compiled and circulated the full list of questions into a single document for ease of review, and the document is also available at the wiki page link noted above.
