Dear SCCI Members,

As a reminder, the SCCI had begun to look at its draft Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) Criteria earlier this year but paused that effort once it was known that the Continuous Improvement Program Community Coordination Group (CIP-CCG) was working on a framework that could be leveraged by the Supporting Organizations, Advisory Committees, and Nominating Committee. You can find the CIP-CCG’s framework here: https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/cip-framework-02jul25-en.pdf

The SCCI leadership team worked with staff to compare the SCCI’s draft CIP Criteria from earlier this year against the CIP-CCG’s new framework; fortunately, the SCCI’s existing draft and the new framework are relatively closely aligned. What leadership and staff have therefore done is to make administrative updates to the SCCI’s draft Criteria, in order to make it as consistent as possible with the CIP-CCG framework. Please find the output of that exercise here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17lG2KCmyCbOR7ILZy5wNayuDAoFb0ERMJuMU8NG7KCo/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.2h9ufhm2h1ao

Please provide comments on list or in the document if you discover any issues that must be addressed, ideally no later than mid-January 2026. In the meantime, staff will begin preparing draft Indicators for each of the Criteria, which will be reviewed in detail by the SCCI in the new year.

If you have any questions, please let us know. As we will not be meeting before the end of the year, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all happy holidays!

Best,

Steve
