ARIEL,
Thanks for brining this important aspect in the notice of SPIRT Team. My initial reaction is as follow:
1. We may provide Sufficient time ( may be defined clearly …different in different applications if that is the case) to respond to ICANN queries , which may be communicated to applicants thru approved means of communications.
2. After Sufficient time gets over, applicant may be informed thru approved communication channels about “ Non responsive” status of application.
3. Non responsive may be put under “ Terminated Applications”.
4. A separate window ( Different than General ASP window) may open for such terminated applications, however ASP may be closed as per schedules , which is already announced. This separate window may facilitate ‘ Terminated applications’ to appeal against ICANN decision ( as per provisions in ASP).
5. This change may be taken as “ Minor” from SPIRT point of view.

Dear SPIRT Members,

On behalf of the Applicant Support Program (ASP) team, please find attached a notification for a proposed solution regarding the date to close non-responsive ASP applications.

As requested in the paper, please provide guidance within seven (7) calendar days, including whether the SPIRT believes additional time is needed to come to an agreement on the proposed solution.

ICANN requests that the SPIRT provide any feedback on list by 3 July 2026.

Best Regards,

Ariel
