Dear SPIRT members,

This is a friendly reminder to complete the following action items.

  1. Updates to Statement of Interest or Statement of Participation
    1. Thank you to those who have updated their SOI or provided their SOP disclosure. As discussed during the 29 January 2026 SPIRT meeting, SPIRT members must disclose whether they are in any way associated with an application for a new gTLD string in the current round.

Disclosure may be added to Section 13: Additional Information (optional) of a member’s GNSO SOI, on a SPIRT meeting call, or on the mailing list. Members who have not provided their discloser by EOD Thursday, 26 February 2026 will be moved from “SPIRT member” to SPIRT observer” until the disclosure issue is remedied. If you are experiencing issues with updating your SOI, please contact the GNSO Secretariat at gnso-secs@icann.org.

Disclosures can be found on the SPIRT Membership Wiki. Example language of discloser is provided below:
      • I am affiliated with a potential new gTLD applicant and have a financial, and/or legal interest in the New gTLD Program
      • I confirm that I have no commercial interests, contractual relationships, or financial benefits that would create a conflict of interest in relation to the SPIRT’s work.

  2. Review the SPIRT Issue Consideration Process
    1. Thank you to those who have provide their feedback on the SPIRT Issue Consideration Process.  This is a friendly reminder to review the process and provide any comments or questions. This process may be used by SPIRT members to submit issues to the GNSO Council for consideration.

Thank you for your review of these items. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Andrew
