SSAD SRT members,

It was great seeing so many of you at ICANN 86.  We had some excellent discussions, and I appreciate everyone’s time, preparations, and participation.  Being able to have so many of us in person to discuss the 5 high level of effort to modify recommendations (Rec 1 and 2 on Authentication, Rec 6 on Priority Levels, Rec 10 on SLAs and Rec 8 on Authorization) was beneficial, especially so early in our work.

I have been working with staff on new straw-person drafts for each of those.  We will be updating the existing straw-person document based on the discussions we had at ICANN 86 as well as other inputs both in the straw-person document and on the SRT mailing list.  I will send a separate email when those have been updated.  As before, please review and provide feedback and where appropriate suggest edits in the google document or on the mailing list.

We will be scheduling an SRT meeting next week.  If you haven’t done so already, please fill out the doodle poll.  At last check there were still 13 people who hadn’t voted.

For next week we will have an initial readout of Rec 3 (Criteria and Content of Requests), Rec 5 (Response Requirements), and Rec 7 (Requestor Purpose).  We will follow the same format as before in presenting the recommendations and giving an opportunity for initial reactions / feedback on each.
