Correct, SSC decisions are made by full consensus. I believe the agreement on yesterday’s call was that the candidate with the most votes in the follow-up poll would be the suggested candidate
and this selection be put forward for a 24-hour non-objection period to establish consensus.

The SSC decided on today’s call to hold a follow up poll to choose between two top candidates for the GNSO mentor role for the ICANN Fellowship Program: Amr Elsadr and Andrew Mack. Please fill out this poll by tomorrow 18 December 2018 at 17:00 UTC: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GS7CB87 [surveymonkey.com].
Once the poll is closed, there will be a 24-hour period to raise objections to the selection reflected by the poll results. The SSC plans to submit a recommendation no later than 21:00 UTC on Wednesday 19 December, 24 hours before the GNSO Council meeting in which the Council plans to consider the SSC’s recommendation.
