Dear SSC members,

 

The SSC has an outstanding action item to finalize proposed Charter revisions to send to the GNSO Council. Attached please find the current revision. The attached document includes all revisions that appear to have full support from all SSC members at this time. Note that recent discussions have focused on a proposal to temporarily keep all SSC deliberations confidential during a selection process. As this proposal did not receive full consensus support, it is not included on the attached.

 

The leadership team proposes one final additional sentence under Committee Formation, Dependencies, & Dissolution: “The SSC may request of the GNSO Council a review of the Charter annually or if the members identify a need for a specific review.” This will allow the SSC to revisit the charter and propose additional changes in the future.

 

Please review the attached document carefully. If you have any objections to submitting the attached text to the GNSO Council or believe that further discussion is needed, please respond to this email by Tuesday 10 April at 23:59 UTC. If no responses are received by this time, the leadership team will consider the document supported by full consensus.
