Dear All,

After a well-deserved break, it is now time to start focusing on the second assignment that the GNSO Council provided to the SSC, namely the development of the criteria and the process for the selection of the GNSO Representative to the Empowered Community Administration. The GNSO Council has requested to receive your proposal in time for consideration during its June 2017 meeting, which means it would need to be submitted by 19 June. Following approval of the criteria and process, the SSC is also expected to carry out the selection process. To facilitate your deliberations on this topic, Emily has developed the attached background document for your review.

Also, now that the RDS Review Team Selection Process has been completed, Susan has indicated that she is still willing to take on the chair role for this effort. If I recall well, Maxim indicated he was willing to serve as a vice-chair (Maxim, please correct me if I am wrong)? Of course, if others are interested in a leadership position for this effort, please share your interest on the mailing list so it can be considered as a first item of business for your next meeting.

In relation to that next meeting, you should receive a doodle poll request shortly in view of trying to schedule a next meeting of the SSC either next week (15 May) or the week thereafter (22 May).
