SSC Call on Monday, July 15 - Chairing duties
Hello Segunfunmi, I hope this note finds you well. I'm writing to give you advance notice that I am going to have to recuse myself from chairing the SSC call next week and to ask that you step in to take my place. With the only 2 candidates for the role both coming from my stakeholder group (RySG), it would not be appropriate for me to chair this call. The RySG has submitted both of these candidates with full faith that either would be terrific in the role and will support whatever candidate SSC puts forward for a consensus call. You needn't have any worries about how to chair the call, as our brilliant staff will lead you through the process. I would simply suggest joining the zoom meeting 5-10 minutes early to confer with the Julies and Saewon. If you are able to confirm to that you can take the lead next week, I would greatly appreciate it. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'm happy to help however I can. Dear Karen, Absolutely, I would be delighted to step in and chair the SSC meeting on your behalf. I fully appreciate the importance of maintaining an unbiased selection process to achieve a consensus from the entire committee. Joining the meeting 5-10 minutes earlier is a great idea, and I will make sure to coordinate with Julies and Saewon for their guidance and support.
